https://news.v.daum.net/v/20191110222852175</p><p><br></p><p>세계적인 투자가 짐 로저스(77)가 일본 경제에 대해 혹독한 평가를 내놨다. 아베 신조(安倍晋三) 일본 총리는 2020년 도쿄올림픽을 일본 부흥의 호재로 삼겠다고 하지만, 로저스는 도쿄올림픽 때문에 일본이 쇠퇴할 것으로 예상했다.</p><p><br></p><p>일본의 경제주간지인 동양경제는 최근 도쿄와 교토, 오사카 등에서 순회강연을 한 로저스의 발언을 요약한 투자전문가의 글을 10일 실었다</p><p>동양경제에 따르면 로저스는 도쿄올림픽에 대해 “겉보기에는 좋은 면도 있다. 도로가 개선되고, 새로운 경기장이 생긴다. 이러한 사업과 관련된 이들은 일정한 은혜를 입을 수 있다. 정치가도 긍정적인 성과를 주장한다”고 운을 뗐다. 하지만 그는 “역사적으로 올림픽은 국가에 돈벌이가 된 사례가 없다. 일부 국민들에게 단기적인 수입을 줄지 몰라도 국가 전체로는 오히려 폐해를 끼친다”고 강조했다. 이어 “일본의 부채는 더욱 커질 것이며 이는 대중에게 나쁜 결과로 이어질 것이다. 오래 지나지 않아 올림픽의 폐해가 일본을 침식할 것”이라고 전망했다.</p><p><br></p><p>로저스는 “2017년 11월 미국의 한 투자 정보 프로그램에 출연해 ‘내가 10살 일본이라면 AK-47 자동소총을 구입하거나 이 나라를 떠나는 걸 선택하겠다’고 말했다. 이 발언은 방송되자마자 큰 화제가 됐는데, 이건 장래 일본 사회를 내다본 것이었다”고 설명했다.</p><p>로저스는 30년 후 일본의 모습을 어떻게 전망할까. 역시 비관적이었다.</p><p><br></p><p>“30년 후 일본에선 지금보다 많은 범죄가 일어날 것이다. 현대 일본인이 미래 세대로 넘긴 청구서를 지불할 단계가 되면 국민 전체가 불안을 느낄 것이다. 50년 후에는 일본 정부에 대한 반란이 일어날 가능성도 있다. 사회불안은 범죄와 폭동, 혁명이라는 형태로 나타난다. ‘일본인은 다르다’, ‘폭동은 일어나지 않는다’고 말할지 모르지만, 그것은 역사상 모든 나라에서 일어나는 사회현상이다.”</p><p>
